Manny Satija was appointed Global Director, Strategic Sourcing at CSA Group on November 14th 2016. As the Head of Procurement for CSA Group, Mr. Satija is focused on building a globally integrated procurement organization with responsibility for sourcing activity across 14 Countries in 37 cities covering North America, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining CSA Group, Manny spent 14 years with IBM in various procurement leadership and global transformational roles. His sourcing experience centers around indirect procurement and outsourcing. In addition, he has proven experience leading on-site and remote teams delivering sourcing savings, supplier governance and transformation for clients. Manny’s experience in procurement transformation is focused on spend analytics, technology, contract governance, alignment of sourcing strategies, stakeholder assessment and implementation of operational efficiencies. Prior to working for IBM, Manny spend a few years gaining experience in the Financial Services Industry working for RBC Financial Group.
Manny holds a MBA and BBA from the Schulich School of Business(York University), and has participated in an International study abroad program with the University of Bath in England.

Bill is the General Manager of Sourcing Management and is also the Process Owner for the Procurement to Pay process for Canada Post Corporation (CPC); Canada’s mail and courier delivery service.
At CPC, Bill has corporate oversight for over $2 billion of annual spend not including major capital project procurents. He has held a variety of senior positions at CPC including the responsibilities of Senior Lead Project Manager for the introduction and delivery of the e-procurement and automated expense models to 6,000 CPC users and the transformation and integration of the Procurement and Payable functions into a single process.
He has over 20 years experience in procurement with an emphasis on strategic sourcing, reengineering of the supply process, change management and process management.
During the last five years, Bill has generated the procurement strategy and the related execution approach for some of Canada’s largest value and most complex procurements, including: the construction of two new CPC plants, the purchase of the new generation plant mail sorting and parcel equipment, and the acquisition of the Integrated Real Estate Services. Bill’s team has delivered significant bottom line savings while reducing the overall headcount of the Procurement to Pay function.
Bill holds B.A and B. Commerce (Hons) degrees from the University of Manitoba and Procurement Management Certification from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Farukh Javed was appointed Vice President, Chief Information Officer at CSA Group on August 8, 2016. As CIO at CSA Group, Mr. Javed will focus on transforming the current technological landscape to deliver a higher level of operational effectiveness, service delivery performance and overall customer experience.
Mr. Javed has more than 15 years of experience in leading business transformations enabled by technology. Most recently he was the Canada CIO at GlaxoSmithKline Inc. leading the startup of an engagement platform designed to encourage scientific debate for improving better patient health outcomes. Prior to his assignment at GSK, Farukh Javed was at Procter & Gamble Inc. delivering strategic initiatives across 80 markets worldwide. These included developing shared services, enabling mergers and acquisitions, entering emerging markets, monetizing intellectual property and leading innovation. Mr. Javed started his career programming financial systems as an Intern Analyst at IBM Canada Ltd.

Having worked in the public service from 2003 until 2009 when he joined MERX. Arien continues to serve his stakeholders in his role as Account Manager where he maintains Account Management responsibilities for public sector organizations including municipalities, schools, hospitals and post-secondary institutions across Canada as well as numerous provincial agencies and private corporations. Arien has managed the transition of hundreds of buying organizations to the new MERX technology platform over the past 5 years and is an advocate for the enhancement of the platform to ensure new treaty compliance as trade agreements mature and evolve. Prior to joining MERX, Arien worked as the Chief Political Aid in several Ministries of the Crown including the Department of Health and Health Promotion and the Department of Energy within the government of Nova Scotia.
