Wael Safwat

Wael is a UK global chartered procurement and supply chain fellow, who led and delivered award-winning procurement transformation programs and global SAP/Ariba implementations.

He had a distinguished career over the past 22 years, holding various senior roles as a Head of Procurement for some of the global fortune 500 companies back in the UK, Asia-Pacific, North Africa and the Middle East. He got solid expertise in both direct and indirect spend categories with transferable skills across a number of industries including; Oil & Gas, Retail, Real Estate, and Properties Management.

Change management expert who effectively engage stakeholders, and build high performing teams while implementing leading practices. He is passionate about develop people while driving value creation to enhance organizations’ competitiveness

Wael was recognized for his global dedication and contribution to Procurement, Supply Chain profession. He is a key contributor to the establishment and growth of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), UK across various countries. He represented the CIPS institution in the capacity of Chair of Canada Branch. He also joined Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO) Board of Directors in 2015 and chaired the awards committee. In 2016 he received SCMAO Board of Directors Leadership Award for promoting Procurement & Chain across Canada.

Wael is the 1st Chartered Fellow Procurement & Supply Chain in North America and the 7th globally. Also he is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in the UK and a Fellow of the Institution of Leadership and Management (ILM) in England. He holds a MBA with distinction while being Certified Project Management In addition to various procurement designations including CSCMP (Canada) and CPSM (ISM-USA)

Senior lecturer for procurement and supply chain and also a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and industry forums, including executives and CPOs roundtables .Wael released a number of publications in the UK, Africa , Middle East and North America.

Jay Sklar

Jay Sklar is the Chief Procurement & Real Estate Officer for HUB International Limited, where he oversees the firm’s North American footprint.  He is responsible for implementing a long-term procurement program to leverage HUB’s buying power across a historically decentralized organization that has grown rapidly via acquisitions, while simultaneously driving efficiencies within HUB’s leased office portfolio.

Jay brings more than 20 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier diversity, and real estate from prior roles at Orbitz, Aon, BankOne (now JPMorgan Chase), Waste Management, and A.T.Kearney.

Jay earned his BA from Northwestern University, and his MBA from Kellogg / Northwestern University.

Manny Satija

Manny Satija was appointed Global Director, Strategic Sourcing at CSA Group on November 14th 2016. As the Head of Procurement for CSA Group, Mr. Satija is focused on building a globally integrated procurement organization with responsibility for sourcing activity across 14 Countries in 37 cities covering North America, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining CSA Group, Manny spent 14 years with IBM in various procurement leadership and global transformational roles. His sourcing experience centers around indirect procurement and outsourcing. In addition, he has proven experience leading on-site and remote teams delivering sourcing savings, supplier governance and transformation for clients. Manny’s experience in procurement transformation is focused on spend analytics, technology, contract governance, alignment of sourcing strategies, stakeholder assessment and implementation of operational efficiencies. Prior to working for IBM, Manny spend a few years gaining experience in the Financial Services Industry working for RBC Financial Group.

Manny holds a MBA and BBA from the Schulich School of Business(York University), and has participated in an International study abroad program with the University of Bath in England.

Vitold is the Capgemini Americas Chief Procurement Officer, responsible for all categories: IT and Telco, External Resources, Training, Professional services, Travel and meetings. Previously, Vitold was the Capgemini Travel Director hosted within the Global Procurement organization. Before, amongst other roles at HP, he has managed the worldwide hotel and card programs. In 1999, he joined HP in Belgium, working for the Finance department after his national service at the French Embassy in Rome. Vitold has a true passion for innovation and for the sustainable growth topics. Vitold holds a master degree in Applied Economics, with a major in Banking and Finance, and a master degree in Economics Modeling. He is based in Montreal.

Jonathan Rosemberg

Jeff van Geel, sourcing manager, joined 3M Canada in 2005. He began his 3M career as a print consultant as part of a six sigma black belt project. He became sourcing manager in 2006 and is responsible for overseeing procurement, accounts payable and package engineering for the entire 3M Canada supply chain.  
Prior to 3M, van Geel worked for 15 years in IT for Canada Trust.
Van Geel graduated with a Master of Science degree, majoring in information technology, from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.  He lives with his wife, Sylvie in London, Ontario and enjoys mountain biking, squash and volunteering.

Bill Michalopulos

Bill is the Head and General Manager of Sourcing Management and is also the Process Owner for the Procurement to Pay process for Canada Post Corporation (CPC); Canada’s mail and courier delivery service. 

At CPC, Bill has corporate oversight for over $2 billion of annual spend not including major capital project procurents. He has held a variety of senior positions at CPC including the responsibilities of Senior Lead Project Manager for the introduction and delivery of the e-procurement and automated expense models to 6,000 CPC users and the transformation and integration of the Procurement and Payable functions into a single process.

He has over 20 years experience in procurement with an emphasis on strategic sourcing, reengineering of the supply process, change management and process management.

During the last five years, Bill has generated the procurement strategy and the related execution approach for some of Canada’s largest value and most complex procurements, including: the construction of two new CPC plants, the purchase of the new generation plant mail sorting and parcel equipment, and the acquisition of the Integrated Real Estate Services. Bill’s team has delivered significant bottom line savings while reducing the overall headcount of the Procurement to Pay function. 

Bill holds B.A and B. Commerce (Hons) degrees from the University of Manitoba and Procurement Management Certification from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Mr. Javed has more than 15 years of experience in leading business transformations enabled by technology. Most recently he was the Canada CIO at GlaxoSmithKline Inc. leading the startup of an engagement platform designed to encourage scientific debate for improving better patient health outcomes. Prior to his assignment at GSK, Farukh Javed was at Procter & Gamble Inc. delivering strategic initiatives across 80 markets worldwide. Mr. Javed started his career programming financial systems as an Intern Analyst at IBM Canada Ltd.

Shauna Gamble joined Bombardier in November 2017 as vice-president of Procurement for the company’s Business Aircraft division. Soon thereafter, Shauna’s role was expanded to lead a newly-formed Aerospace Procurement organization, responsible for commodity strategies, contract management and supplier relations for both business and commercial aircraft at Bombardier.

Since joining Bombardier, Shauna has made it her mission to transform Aerospace Procurement into a best-in-class organization. She initiated the Diamond Supplier Program to increase accountability across the supply chain and to raise the company’s profile. Shauna also spearheaded the creation of a Procurement Academy at Bombardier, providing an opportunity for team members to improve their expertise at all levels.

Priyamvada has 20+ years of experience as a trade finance professional with global banks as well as leading trade and supply chain finance in emerging markets with the World Bank Group. Prior to joining HSBC in 2014, Priyamvada was Global Program Head for Supplier Finance at International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank. She joined IFC in June 2005 as Regional Head, Asia and Middle East in Trade and Supply Chain. As Principal, Trade Finance, she was involved in developing the multi-donor funded Global Trade Liquidity program in 2009 as a crisis response to supporting trade finance delivered through global banks. At IFC, Priyamvada established the Global Trade Supplier Finance program in 2010 under which IFC provides financing solutions for emerging market supply chains in partnership with global banks and alternative independent platform providers that includes sustainability metrics for improved supplier compliance with sustainability standards. Before joining RBC, Kiruba was managing the systems and server product distribution through reseller channels for Tech Data Canada.  Prior to immigrating to Canada, as a general manager, he introduced Emachine Systems in the Dubai market.  He was also a regional manager of Middle East operations for Taiwan’s largest systems manufacturer, First International Computers.  And he set up MegaPlus International, a systems integrator company in Dubai and Sydney, Australia.
